1. Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms govern your use of DOOKABAAM’s website and services. By purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.

Pre-Order Model

  • DOOKABAAM operates on a pre-order model to reduce waste and support slow fashion.
  • Each piece is made especially for you once your order is placed.

Orders & Pricing

  • Prices are in AUD unless otherwise noted.
  • We may update or correct pricing and descriptions.
  • We reserve the right to refuse an order in certain circumstances.

Intellectual Property & Imagery

  • All designs, logos, photography, and campaign content belong to DOOKABAAM.
  • Children featured in our imagery appear only with guardian consent. Such imagery cannot be copied, reused, or redistributed without our permission.

Liability & Governing Law

  • To the extent permitted by law, DOOKABAAM is not liable for indirect damages.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

2. Shipping & Delivery

Production & Fulfilment

  • As a preorder brand, please allow up to 6 weeks from purchase for your order to be shipped.
  • Some items may ship sooner, but 6 weeks is our maximum window.

Delivery Estimates (after dispatch)

  • Australia: 2–6 business days.
  • International: 7–21 business days (customs may add delays).

Shipping Confirmation

  • You will receive an email with tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Split Shipments

  • Orders with multiple items may arrive separately, depending on production timelines.

Duties & Taxes

  • International customers are responsible for any import duties or taxes.

3. Returns & Refunds

Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted on full-priced items only, within 7 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and with original tags attached.
  • Sale items are final and cannot be returned unless faulty under Australian Consumer Law.
  • Certain categories (e.g., underwear, swimwear, earrings, perishable goods, digital items like gift cards) cannot be returned.

Exchanges

  • As DOOKABAAM operates on a preorder model, exchanges may not always be possible.
  • If the requested size or style is not available, we will issue you a store credit to use toward a future piece.

Refunds

  • Refunds for change of mind are not possible.
  • If your item is deemed faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will honour a full refund, replacement, or repair in line with your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us immediately at lucy@dookabaam.com with your order number and photos.

Australian Returns

  • AUD 15 return shipping fee is deducted from your refund.
  • If you choose store credit, the deduction is reduced to AUD 10.

International Returns

  • Customers arrange and pay for their own return shipping. Tracked postage is strongly recommended.

Process

  • Submit your return request through our [Returns Portal] within 7 days of delivery.
  • Once approved, you’ll receive instructions (and a label if eligible).
  • Items must be repackaged in their original protective packaging.
  • Once received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email. Refunds (for faulty items) will be processed to your original payment method, and credits delivered via email. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.

4. Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

  • Name, email, shipping/billing details, payment info.
  • Browsing behaviour, cookies, IP address.

How We Use It

  • To process orders and provide updates.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To send marketing (only if you opt in).

Children’s Privacy

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18.
  • All imagery featuring children is used with guardian consent and may not be copied or reused.
  • Please contact us if you believe data has been collected in error or imagery is being misused.

Data Security & Rights

  • We use secure systems to protect your data.
  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time.
